RILDS Data Governance Committee meetings are temporarily paused. All submitted requests will not be evaluated until early 2025.
If you don’t find what you need through our data stories and reports, please complete a data request. Under strict privacy and security requirements and with approval of the Data Contributing Agencies, we can share RILDS data.
To begin, complete the Data Request Form and briefly describe your project and how it benefits the people, policies, and programs of Rhode Island. The RILDS Data Holdings may be helpful to you in this process.
We'll do our best to respond within five (5) business days. Please note that we operate under a cost-recovery model, and a contract must be established for RILDS services.
Note: RILDS Data Governance Committee meetings are temporarily paused. All submitted requests will not be evaluated until early 2025.
Aggregate-level RILDS data are grouped, with counts below 10 suppressed.
A Data Use Agreement is not required, although Data Contributing Agencies must approve the request as well as review the outgoing aggregate-level data.
Individual-level, but fully de-identified RILDS data do not contain direct identifiers or personally identifiable information (e.g., names).
A Data Use Agreement is required for any individual-level data to ensure that data are used in accordance with federal and state law. Once the Data Use Agreement has been executed, we can begin preparing your requested dataset.
Explore a compilation of research publications created through collaborative data sharing partnerships between the Rhode Island Longitudinal Data System (RILDS) and academic institutions. All research using RILDS data is guided by state priorities, either commissioned by the state or conducted with its approval.
