Data Requests

Request

If you don’t find what you need through our data stories and reports, please complete a data request. Under strict privacy and security requirements, and with the approval of the Data Contributing Agencies, we can share RILDS data.

Process

To begin, please complete the Data Request Form and provide a brief description of your project, including how it benefits the people, policies, and programs of Rhode Island. The RILDS Data Holdings may serve as a valuable resource during this process.

We'll do our best to respond within five (5) business days. Please note that we operate under a fee-for-service model for processing and fulfilling requests. Additionally, a contract must be established before RILDS services can be provided.

Important: All requests must be submitted at least fifteen (15) business days before the next RILDS Data Governance Committee meeting to be considered during the meeting. For the schedule of upcoming meetings, please click here.

Complete the Data Request Form

Aggregate-Level Data

Aggregate-level RILDS data are grouped, with counts below 10 suppressed.

A Data Use Agreement is not required, although Data Contributing Agencies must approve the request as well as review the outgoing aggregate-level data.

Individual-Level Data

Individual-level, but fully de-identified RILDS data do not contain direct identifiers or personally identifiable information (e.g., names).

A Data Use Agreement is required for any individual-level data to ensure that data are used in accordance with federal and state law. Once the Data Use Agreement has been executed, we can begin preparing your requested dataset.

Recent Publications
