Multi-State Teacher Workforce Report

We’re excited to share our new Multi-State Teacher Workforce Report, developed in partnership with the Heldrich Center for Workforce Development at Rutgers University. By aligning and standardizing definitions of teacher retention and mobility across states, this project shows how cross-state collaboration can generate more comparable, policy-relevant insights into the educator pipeline. The interactive dashboard provides actionable information for policymakers, educator preparation leaders, and workforce planners to strengthen teacher supply, identify shortages by subject and region, and support more equitable staffing decisions.

Explore the dashboard to see how integrated, multi-state data can inform smarter teacher workforce strategies.

12 Days of Vizmas

Throughout the year, the RILDS team has collaborated with various agency partners on diverse projects. Our work often includes helping partners clean, prepare, link, and restructure datasets to answer policy and research questions, but we also build data visualizations. Data visualizations are an important tool that can effectively communicate complex datasets and findings in digestible formats. While not all our work is public-facing, we wanted to highlight some of our projects and our agency partners' excellent work—showing how we're all working to make data more accessible and understandable.
